JD Hill was recruited by Head Coach Frank Kush to play football at Arizona State University out of Stockton, California as a wide receiver. He was a big part of ASU's success in 1970 as ASU went on to an undefeated season and a Peach Bowl win. He was an All American and most valuable player in the senior bowl. He was the first round draft pick (4th overall) of the Buffalo Bills.

JD Hill became a valued member of the Buffalo Bills "Electric Company" credited with helping OJ Simpson break the 2000 yard mark in rushing in a single season. He was know fondly by his teammates as "Crack back Hill". #40!
JD Hill welcomes his friend and Assistant Coach at ASU, Larry Kenterra. Coach was responsible for JD playing at ASU, thanks to a deal between Kenterra and Head Coach Frank Kush. They have remained close friends for nearly 60 years. JD attended Coach Kenterra's 100th Birthday Celebration at ASU.
